The prime minister asked Kyiv to align with the positions of the European Union on the issue of Turkey
Meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Denys Shmyhal the prime minister had in Prague Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The two politicians discussed the war in Ukraine, but also the general situation. Mr. Mitsotakis pointed out that Greece supports Ukraine and will not accept any border changes, however, asking Kyiv to align its positions on Turkey with the European Union.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis reiterated our country’s support in their struggle Ukrainians and in efforts to preserve the territorial integrity and freedom of Ukraine.
THE Prime Minister reiterated that Greece categorically condemns Russia’s illegal annexation of four regions of Ukraine. He emphasized that our country recognizes these areas as part of Ukrainian territory and will never accept any change in their status, in flagrant violation of International Law.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized the determination of our country to stand, together with its European partners, on the side of Ukraine.
He also informed his Ukrainian counterpart about Greece’s firm positions against revisionism and the questioning of International Treaties and asked Mr. Shmyhal for alignment with the EU’s positions on Turkey.
