As it started episodically, this is how its process is expected to be completed Commission of Inquirys in the Parliament on the surveillance case. The findings are expected to be filed on Monday and Thursday to be discussed at a final meeting. What are the disputes? The opinion that prevails in the ranks of the majority is that since the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament (Article 57) allow the principle of secrecy that was applied from the beginning to be applied to the Plenary Session of the Parliament as well . This means that, unless unforeseen, the meeting will take place without television coverage and distribution of minutes.

The majority has decided to proceed in the same way with regard to the conclusion of the Examination Board, which, based on the data so far, is considered unlikely to be made public.
These positions of the majority have provoked the reaction of the opposition. SYRIZA he speaks of an extreme and unprecedented method of silencing the Greek parliamentarians, which no one has dared in the post-colonial era. They add from Koumoundourou that “for the possibility of characterizing the findings of the parties as “secret” so that the Greek people are not informed, it is self-evident that the SYRIZA PS is not going to consent to the hiding of Mr. Mitsotakis”.

From PASOK point out that “the parties were shamelessly asked not to make their finding public, but to pass it on in complete secrecy to the Bureau of the Inquiry Commission, so that it would be buried once and for all. They try to keep secret even the finding of the parties.

The KKE he makes it clear that he will not take part in “the cover-up game”, but will make his own conclusive position public.

With their stance, the opposition parties make it clear that the issue of surveillance does not end here. There will be “tails” in the next period with PASOK, but also with SYRIZA to continue the effort to internationalize the issue. In this line, the presence of Nikos Androulakis in the PEGA Committee of the European Parliament also moved, while it is recalled that at the beginning of November its members will come to Athens. It is also considered certain that the continuation will be given to the Institutions and Transparency Committee of the Parliament with the right that the minority has to convene it. After all, SYRIZA has stated that once progressive governance is achieved, it will proceed with the establishment of a preliminary investigation committee.

Regardless of whether the opinion polls show that the EYP’s connections have so far been a “smudge” in the government’s tenure, the opposition seems to be investing in the logic of parallel pressure. To be precise, the energy, but also the monitoring (with everything new that comes to light) are trying to make an explosive mixture of hard opposition speech. And what is the next escalation move? The mobilizations. Starting with the nationwide strike of November 9. SYRIZA, PASOK, MeRA25 and KKE are expected to be on the road again, taking the opposition out of the narrow confines of Parliament and into society.
