The Turkish president also spoke about Greece’s hostile behavior – He talks about dialogue in the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean and at the same time announces drilling in Libya – Ankara is looking for alternative fighters to the F-16 – Favors the Eurofighter

New challenges from Erdogan, who yesterday after the cabinet meeting spoke of Greece’s hostile attitudes, as SKAI correspondent Manolis Kostidis reports from Istanbul.

He even added that “our warning that we would come suddenly one night became the nightmare of our enemies.”

He said characteristically: “We assessed the internal and external threats at the meeting of the National Security Council. We reaffirmed our position regarding the hostile attitudes shown against our country, particularly leveraged Greece. Our phrase ‘we will come suddenly one night’ has become the nightmare of terrorist organizations, but also of all those who have enmity against our country, and we carry out the obligations of this proposal to the letter.”

Meanwhile, the Turkish newspaper SOZCU he targets Alexandroupoli, Lesbos and Samos saying they are dangerous places for Turkey because there are advanced weapons systems that pose a threat.

Talks about dialogue – Announces drilling in Libya

Furthermore, while talking about dialogue in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean, Erdogan simultaneously announces drilling within the Libyan continental shelf.

“As in every forum, we also said in Prague that we want to resolve the problems of the Eastern Mediterranean and the Aegean within the framework of international law. We expect the EU to invite our interlocutors to a dialogue, on a bilateral basis, instead of supporting unfair and illegal initiatives on this matter” said Erdogan.

“With the agreement on hydrocarbons that we made with Libya, a new field of cooperation was created in the extraction of oil and its derivatives, within the continental shelf of this Libya,” he added.

In Turkey they are looking for alternative fighters to the F-16

The Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar he saw the Eurofighters and the Turkish media presented them as favorites, as a few days ago Erdogan had stated “as with the S-400, so if the US does not give us F-16s we have alternatives”.

“Are the alternative fighters the French Rafale? The Eurofighters which are co-produced by Italy-England-Germany? Sweden’s Saab fighters or Russia’s and China’s fighters? Xulusi Akar during his visit to England also examined the Eurofighter Typhoon fighters which are considered as the most likely alternative to the F-16. The F-16s have 4th generation technology, the Eurofighters are considered 4th-5th generation fighters and are already used by Germany, Spain, Great Britain, Saudi Arabia and Qatar”.

At the same time, Turkish media report that the USA, France and Germany are “arming Greece” and comment that “Greece is racing for armaments aimed at Turkey”.

In the news bulletin of Haber Global it was mentioned: “After the USA and France now Germany is also arming Greece. The German army will grant Greece 40 armored vehicles. Greece has entered a race to arm itself against Turkey and NATO countries are massing their forces there.

The armored vehicles granted by the US were installed on the Aegean islands whose status is disputed. A US base was built in Alexandroupoli, which is 45 kilometers from Turkey. France sold Rafale fighters and now it’s Germany’s turn.”
