The Minister of Immigration and Asylum, Notis Mitarakis, participated in the Justice and Home Affairs Council of the European Union in Luxembourg.
Among other things, as stated in the announcement of the Greek Ministry, Mr. Mitarakis was in favor of the most intensive effort for as much solidarity as possible with the first host countries. He underlined that Greece supports the idea of a common European protection area, in which recognized refugees should have the right to move and settle freely.
