The two Defense Ministers agreed to act as pillars of stability and security in the Eastern Mediterranean region, within the framework of International Law.
The Minister of National Defense Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos and the Minister of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister of Israel Mr. Benjamin Ganjhad a telephone conversation today, Friday, October 21, 2022, during which the high level of bilateral relations between the two countries was highlighted and the common will of Greece and Israel to proceed together to strengthen and deepen the defense cooperation them and to act as pillars of stability and security in the Eastern Mediterranean region, within the framework of International Law.
Also, Mr. Panagiotopoulos and Gantz underlined the importance of the implementation project of the International Flight Training Center in Kalamata, as it strengthens the strategic relationship between Greece and Israel, which has been developing continuously, in many areas, in recent years.
Today, moreover, a briefing was held at the 120th Air Training Wing (PEA), regarding the progress of the implementation of the project, the International Flight Training Center.
The International Flight Training Center in Kalamata will upgrade the flight training of our Air Force pilots. Modern aircraft, new flight simulator facilities and aircraft maintenance, guarantee the high level basic, advanced and operational training of our pilots.
The high quality of the training provided is the guarantee for its upgrade to an International Center that is expected to be a pole of attraction for other Air Forces to train their pilots.
