According to the official opposition, the member of parliament from Grevena is the owner of three foreign companies
Request for the convening of the No Matters Committee after the revelations “about the illegal and unethical practices of the former MP of Grevena of the ND Andreas Patsis”, as it states, SYRIZA testified.
According to article 8 par. 1 of Law 3213/2003 (as applicable after its replacement by article four par. 5 of Law 4396/2016, Official Gazette A΄ 111/8.6.2016) “….to the deputies… it is prohibited to participate in the management or the capital of companies, which have a real or registered seat abroad, either in person or with substitute persons”.
According to paragraph 2 of the aforementioned article of the same Law, “in violation of paragraph 1, direct or through a proxy participation in a company, which has its headquarters abroad, is punishable by imprisonment of at least two (2) years and a fine of ten thousand (10,000) euros to five hundred thousand (500,000) euros.
As mentioned in the request, the responsible head of Transparency of SYRIZA -PS revealed that the Member of Parliament for Grevena of the ND, Mr. Andreas Patsis, happens to be the owner – at a percentage of 100% – of three (3) foreign companies, namely: a) the company with the name ” SIGHTGREEN LTD”, b) the company with the name “DAGORLIA LTD” and c) the company with the name “HORSELORD LTD”, both of which have their registered and actual headquarters in Cyprus and which participate in the capital (with various percentages) in Greek companies, property or interests of the above Member of Parliament.
This fact, namely the participation of Mr. Andreas Patsis in the capital of the above foreign companies, it emerges and is proven without a doubt also from the no. D 1112 -5719-7397-1102-6554-9 Declaration of Non-Employment that he has submitted for the year 2020, which has been posted on the official website of the Hellenic Parliament.
