Akar: The effort to arm Greece and the electoral alliances are futile

“Our position is clear. We are ready for dialogue and conversations. We want to solve our problems through dialogue,” said the Turkish Defense Minister

The Turkish Defense Minister urges Athens to start talks and dialogue Hulusi Akar, who admitted that there are problems between the two states. The Turkish minister’s “opening” in diplomacy, however, was accompanied by new disparaging statements about our country, saying that “the effort to equip and the electoral alliances are futile”.

As reported by the correspondent of SKAI in Istanbul Manolis KostidisHulusi Akar stated that if “tomorrow my Greek counterpart tells me ‘I am coming’, he is welcome and if he calls me tomorrow, I am ready to go”.

The Turkish Defense Minister admitted to Haberturk that “we have problems with Greece. We say to resolve our problems in a peaceful way, within the framework of good neighborly relations and international law and as two civilized countries to have talks and dialogue.

If my (Greek) counterpart says “I’m coming” tomorrow, he’s welcome, call me tomorrow, I’m ready to go right away. We have no problem with dialogue. We rely on ourselves, we are strong because we are right.

We talk to our counterparts and other countries and tell them “please have a neutral, fair attitude”. We tell them that they are not keeping their neutrality.

Greece, with the actions and statements mainly of specific politicians for internal politics – there are also elections – unfortunately continue their actions and statements, doing damage to the Greek people and their well-being.

Our position is clear. We are ready for dialogue and talks. We want to solve our problems through dialogue.

The effort to equip is futile, as is their attempt to run behind electoral alliances. That way they can’t get anywhere. Every time we remind our interlocutors that Turkey is a strong reliable and effective ally and in this sense, the dialogue will benefit all sides, and the fair sharing of the wealth of the Aegean is important and beneficial for Turkey and Greece ».
