The President of SYRIZA-PS, Alexis Tsipras met yesterday Friday with the Ambassador of France in Greece, Patrick Mezonav with whom they discussed the importance of Greek-French relations and European and regional developments.
The President of SYRIZA-PS underlined that there must be decisive action of the energy and economic crisis by the EU, as well as a European initiative to end the Russian invasion and return to diplomacy. At the same time, he emphasized the need to have a composed Euro-Turkish policy that includes the threat of strong sanctions and the interconnection of The Hague with the revision of the Customs Union.
He underlined the importance of Greek-French cooperation in the defense sector, stressing that the goal of SYRIZA-PS is to ensure participation of the Greek defense industry in the relevant contracts with France.
The meeting was attended by the Head of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Katrougalos and the diplomatic advisor of the President, Vangelis Kalpadakis.
