Against the populism and lies of Mr. Tsipras, the government produces measurable work and this is what must be highlighted, emphasized the press representative of the ND

The press representative of the ND, Tasos Gaitanis, spoke today on ERT1 television about the current political developments.

Mr. Gaitanis, referring to the issue of wiretapping, pointed out that there is no direct or indirect relationship between the government and the malicious software, as Mr. Tsipras is trying to convince us in order to take advantage of the situation politically. “The government has positioned itself and made its position clear. Citizens see that there are lists without any evidence which are made public with the aim of accusing the Prime Minister”, he pointed out.

He also reminded that Mr. Tsipras in a recent interview did not deny the existence of malicious software during his days. At the same time, Mr. Gaitanis noted that while there are publications referring to the signing of a contract for malicious software during the SYRIZA days, the official opposition party does not give any answers regarding this fact.

“The issue of surveillance is a big issue for all of Europe. In our country, the judiciary will investigate it and the government will bring institutional initiatives to better protect all these procedures”, he added.

Concluding his intervention, Mr. Gaitanis noted that in the face of populism and the lies of Mr. Tsipras, the government produces measurable work and this is what must be highlighted, recalling that today the country is growing at twice the growth rate of the rest of Europe, unemployment has decreased significantly, foreign direct investment is at a historic record, 30 American universities offer free undergraduate courses to Greek students, while natural gas extraction is also starting, a very important move for our country.
