The Bureau of the Association of Owners of Athens Daily Newspapers raised with the Prime Minister the problems facing the newspaper sector – The Prime Minister expressed his willingness to support
THE Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a meeting today, at Megaros Maximos, with Bureau of the Association of Owners of Athens Daily Newspapers (EIHEA).
The President of EIHEA, Nikos Hatzinikolaou, the Secretary, Tasos Bouras and the Vice-President, Giorgos Dimas, raised with the Prime Minister the problems facing the newspaper sector and asked for the government’s support to solve them. At the same time, they emphasized the need to take measures to strengthen the love of reading.
The Prime Minister expressed his willingness to support the resolution of the problems and instructed the Deputy Minister in addition to the Prime Minister and Government Representative, Yiannis Oikonomou, who was present at the meeting, to examine all the above issues in a positive spirit in view of the submission and related bill, soon, in Parliament.
The director of the Prime Minister’s Press Office, Dimitris Tsiodras, also participated in the meeting.
