The Prime Minister had a meeting with the new Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee at Megaros Maximos
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis mentioned the importance of Greece-Israel relations, which have now taken on the character of strategic cooperation, during his meeting with the new Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee, Ted Deutch, earlier at the Maximos Palace.
Mr. Mitsotakis, who underlined the excellent level of Greek-American relations, presented in detail, according to government sources, to Mr. Deutch the initiatives undertaken by Greece and the infrastructures it is developing – with the FSRU in Alexandroupoli as the cutting edge – in order to transform into energy hub in the wider region, thus contributing to Europe’s stability, energy security and the transition away from Russian fossil fuels.
As the same sources emphasize, the meeting between the two men is the first contact of the new executive director of the AJC with a foreign leader in his new capacity.
