“Greece’s effort with the weapons programs is in vain,” claimed Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar.

Ankara continues its provocations, this time through the Turkish defense minister Hulusi Akar…

As Manolis Kostidis reports, Akar initially stated that “Turkey is in favor of dialogue”, but added that Greece should not “be fooled and not rely on third countries”!

“We call on Greece to abandon policies and actions that increase tension, but our call for dialogue is not weakness, we will protect our right” he said, repeating that Turkey will not accept fait accompli.

“Greece’s effort with the weapons programs is in vain,” he claimed.

The Turkish minister once again asked that the wealth in the Aegean “be shared in a fair way”.

It raises the level of tension with Greece to the extreme Turkeyas, as reported by the SKAI correspondent in Istanbul, Ankara is asking for the immediate demilitarization of the Aegean islands.

The decision was made at the Turkish National Security Council, which took place on Thursday afternoon.

It is noted that the “right hand” of Erdogan, the representative of the presidency Ibrahim Kalin has even requested the withdrawal of… ELAS from the islands in the context of Ankara’s demand for demilitarization!
