What does Kyriakos Pierrakakis say after the announcement of his candidacy for A’ Athens.

“I am asking for the support of the voters of Athens and I promise that I will be mobilized in solving the problems, but also in building and implementing innovative options and modern visions for the Athens of tomorrow” points out with his post on Facebook Kyriakos Pierrakakis after the announcement of his candidacy in A’ Athens.

“I would like to thank Kyriakos Mitsotakis initially for the choice he made to assign me the Ministry of Digital Governance in 2019 and for the trust with which he continues to surround my colleagues and me in the government’s overall effort for the digital transformation of the state and of the economy. I would like to thank him today especially for the honor of being a candidate in the 2023 elections in Athens with the ND,” the Minister of Digital Governance points out.

Athens, emphasizes Mr. Pierrakakis, is the most historic capital of the Western world which is currently experiencing a new heyday. In its neighborhoods, which make up the district of Athens A, I was born and grew up – first as a student and then as a student and worker – and today I am largely active there. Athens is on the way to conquering a dynamism that characterizes the most sophisticated capitals and this will be realized if we further strengthen the synergies between the central state and the local government.

At the same time, Kyriakos Pierrakakis recalls his work at the Ministry of Digital Governance. “Within the last three years, the citizen’s relationship with the state has changed decisively as a large number of transactions have moved to the digital age. Digital transactions with the state have increased 100-fold since 2018, reaching 1 billion in 2022,” he underlines.

The announcement of the Minister of Digital Governance in detail

“In a multi-year cycle of multiple challenges, we worked steadily and consistently because we believed that Greece would succeed. With Kyriakos Mitsotakis as Prime Minister, the country finally emerged from a lasting crisis and this is the most valuable chapter of this four-year period that ends in a few months.

On this canvas, we are building and planning a new four-year period, during which the economy will develop further so that society has the possibility to evolve further, to move into a new era and achieve better and better results in all areas and for all citizens inclusively.

With these thoughts I would like to thank Kyriakos Mitsotakis initially for the choice he made to assign me the Ministry of Digital Governance in 2019 and for the trust with which he continues to surround my colleagues and me in the government’s overall effort for the digital transformation of the state and the economy.

I would like to thank him today especially for the honor of being a candidate in the 2023 elections in Athens with the NEW REPUBLIC. The New Democracy is identified with major political initiatives that mark the path of our homeland: from the transition to the third Hellenic Republic and the entry of our country into the EEC, to the current course of continuous progress and management of constantly emerging challenges with success and confidence. The citizens want to see our country continue to progress and New Democracy can guarantee that this path will continue with steady and fast steps without hesitation and hesitation but with a commitment to the future of the country.

We believe that digital policy is an eminently social policy, and therefore we have chosen a new philosophy in the design of Greek Public services: one that puts the citizen at the center.

In the last three years, the relationship between the citizen and the state has changed decisively as a large number of transactions have moved to the digital age. The digital ones transactions with the state increased 100-fold since 2018, reaching 1 billion in 2022. Indicatively, we eliminated more than 100 queues per citizen offering savings of resources and time, reduction of administrative burdens and transparency in transactions – i.e. bringing about a total cut in the state-society-economy relationship. And when crises like the pandemic and the need for universal vaccination had to be faced, digital policy became the catalyst for large-scale solutions that worked exemplary and won international praise.

The national goal within the next four years is to complete the digital transformation and thus conquer Greece a privileged position on the European and global map of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Our national goal is to establish a policy that comes from the future into the present to anticipate and respond to tomorrow’s challenges before they manifest. Greece must create the future and not suffer it.

Athens is the most historic capital of the western world which is currently experiencing a new heyday.

I am asking for the support of the voters of Athens and I pledge that I will be engaged in solving the problems, but also in building and implementing innovative options and modern visions for the Athens of tomorrow.

The bet of the decade is to keep moving forward by establishing political and governmental stability with social, economic and national security. And we will meet the expectations of all citizens and the challenges of the new era to win this bet. Greece will continue to defy the predictions for the better and the programmatic proposal of the New Democracy and the vision of Kyriakos Mitsotakis is a guarantee for all of the above.

This challenge concerns us all, each and every one of us. To claim the Greece that we envision and build with responsibility, consistency and efficiency”.
