“Government policy puts at risk hundreds of infrastructure projects linked to local communities and leads to financial suffocation for thousands of small and medium-sized businesses and workers”
“For the second year in a row, the government is imposing a payment freeze on the NSRF, for ‘fiscal reasons’, as it is typically stated in official documents of the Ministry of Development”, underlines, in today’s statement, the Head of Development and Investments of SYRIZA-PS, Alexis Haritsis.
“In other words, the payments to projects implemented through the NSRF and for which the annual funding has been approved are practically frozen. At the same time, the absorption of funds from the Recovery and Resilience Fund is extremely low, with resources of billions of euros that the country has received stagnating”, he adds.
As Mr. Haritsis comments, “the government policy endangers hundreds of infrastructure projects linked to local communities and leads to financial suffocation for thousands of small and medium-sized businesses and workers”.
“The Mitsotakis government has now lost all credibility. Political change now, so that the next day will find workers, businesses and the entire productive fabric of the country upright, active and productive”, concludes the Head of Development and Investments of SYRIZA.
