Andreas Xanthos, the head of the Health Department of SYRIZA-PS, blames the government for the lack of medicines in his announcement
In his announcement, the head of the Health Department of SYRIZA-PS, Andreas Xanthos, blames the government for the lack of medicines and at the same time, in response to the responsible minister Thanos Pleuris, he accuses him of “ridiculousness and vulgarity”.
In his announcement, Mr. Xanthos states: “As long as the grim reality of drug shortages exposes the government and especially the Minister of Health, Mr. Pleuris is ashamed: Everyone is to blame except him. The global shortage of raw materials is to blame, doctors are to blame, parents are to blame, SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance is to blame above all!
“Enough with the ridiculousness and vulgarity. Because the claim that ND and Mr. Pleuris are silent persecutors of multinational drug companies is ridiculous. And at the same time, it is a political vulgarity that SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance, which for the 1st time opened a front against corruption in Health and Medicine and institutionally “shielded” the pharmaceutical policy (Evaluation – Negotiation of new medicines, new transparent pricing framework, therapeutic protocols, aid of EOF-IFET), serves the interests of multinationals!”.
In conclusion, Mr. Xanthos addresses the Minister of Health: “If Mr. Pleuris cannot deal with this serious crisis in the pharmaceutical market, let him resign. But let him stop throwing “mud” because, 1. it does not convince anyone 2. it is exposed, insulting the intelligence of the citizens and 3. it does not solve any problem, strengthening the outcry of society”.
