“We launched the Tayfun (Typhoon missile). How far is the range of the Tayfun? 561 kilometers. What did the Greeks do? They sounded the alarm,” Erdogan said defiantly.

He continues the, barren for Turkey, rhetoric of challenges Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Ankara does not have a problem with Greece since it “doesn’t mess with” Turkey in the Aegean, the Turkish president said defiantly on Saturday, according to SKAI’s correspondent in Istanbul Manoli Kostidi.

“We launched the Tayfun (Typhoon missile). How far is Tayfun’s range? 561 kilometers. What did the Greeks do? They sounded the alarm… The newspapers immediately made the front page: “They will hit Athens”. We have no such problem as long as you don’t mess with us in the Aegean. As long as you don’t mess with us in the Aegean, we won’t mess with you. We still have a lot of work to do…” Erdogan defiantly declared in his speech in Antalya.

Erdogan hailed Turkey’s “growing domestic defense industry”, claiming that every country is “envious” of its Bayraktar TB2 combat drone and Kizilelma unmanned combat aircraft.

An article in the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet speaks defiantly of fear and panic in Athens, after the episode that took place in the Aegean.

As reported by Manolis Kostidis from Istanbulthe Turkish newspaper says in its headline: “Provocation, harassment and panic in the Aegean”, while noting that “a Greek boat fired at Turkish fishermen”.

At the same time, in its report, the newspaper states:

“A Greek vessel of the Greek Coast Guard harassed the Turkish fishermen off the coast of Didyma and fired a warning shot. As soon as Turkey responded immediately, fear and panic were caused in Athens.”
