“The government, on the contrary, respects and honors the independent Greek Judiciary” says the government representative
Government representative Yiannis Oikonomou gives an answer to the president of PASOK after the statements of Nikos Androulakis, who blames the government for brutal abuse of the institutionsalleging intent to cover up the wiretapping case.
Mr. Economou in his statement states:
“Mr. Androulakis, before invoking the institutions and basic principles of our democracy, should, as a political leader, know the Constitution precisely and in depth, which is not evident from the content and spirit of his statement, in which he identifies Justice with the government.
Mr. Androulakis, behind the heavy-handed words, confesses that he wants an à la carte Justice, a Justice that will act based on his own opinions and political aspirations.
The government, on the contrary, respects and honors the independent Greek Judiciary unconditionally: without asterisks and footnotes. Our difference is chaotic and revealing.”
