“Greece got Rafale and frigates, while blocking F-16s for Turkey”
The armament programs of Greece continue to preoccupy the Turkish media.
As SKAI correspondent Manolis Kostidis reports from Istanbulextensively reported again by the Haber Global TV network, which states:
“The point where the tension is at its height is the Ankara-Athens line. We will see the statements of the head of the Greek Armed Forces as the tension does not seem to decrease.
Konstantinos Floros sent provocative messages to Turkey, he actually expressed threats of war. He stated that they are ready to face any external intervention and emphasized that ‘in the ethers in the seas and on land the supremacy is ours'”.
Greece, which has entered an arms race against Turkey, has turned its attention to Congress. Because the Mitsotakis government does not want the sale of F-16s to Turkey.
Greece is arming itself at levels that seem to be preparing for war. And now from the USA it is claiming the F-35 fighters, while it has been buying Rafale fighters and frigates from France.”
Turkey brings the agreement with Libya to the parliament for a vote
Meanwhile, Turkey is bringing the Turkish-Libyan memorandum to the parliament for a vote.
This, as reported by Manolis Kostidis, is interpreted as an additional step for hydrocarbon research on land and at sea. This means that investigations can begin much more immediately south of Crete and in land areas of Libya, and Turkey can complicate things by having an approval from the Turkish parliament.
Ankara saw with satisfaction the presence of Mrs. Meloni (Prime Minister of Italy) in Tripoli where she signed an agreement with Dibeiba, for Libyan natural gas and for research.
And this is seen as good news for Turkey as it recognizes the Tripoli government with which it signs energy deals.
ErdoÄŸan’s show with “shit” on a prefect, in front of the TV cameras
Meanwhile, reactions have been caused by ErdoÄŸan’s on-camera scolding of a prefect he has appointed, for the fact that there is a problem on a road that is being built. The fearful prefect was called to give a public explanation in an attitude of caution, with Erdogan… ordering that the issue be resolved immediately!
Erdogan: There is a road point in the Soyut area. I was told that it is not completed. I don’t know tell me… Where is the prefect? Tell me how many kilometers? … Tell me what’s left… Take the microphone.. The microphone.
Prefect: The road is 26 kilometers long. 2 kilometers is a problem…
Erdogan: Mr. Prefect. I didn’t ask you the length of the road… I’m asking where the road is problematic.
Prefect: It is two kilometers, and it is under construction..
Erdogan: You were telling me about other things! Mr. Antil (Minister of Transport), right now let the issue be over, Right now, not tomorrow but now.”
Imamoglu mocks and imitates Erdogan’s behavior
A few hours later, the mayor of Istanbul, Ekrem Imamogu, mocked Erdogan’s move, stressing:
“This is how we talk to our partners in front of the world. We talk with our eyes. With respect. We don’t look down and say ‘you talk, say, do this do that’.
But who are you making such insolent remarks to? To the prefect of the state! This does not happen for two kilometers. Do not reduce the value of our state. Do not cause the value of the offices of our state to decrease. If you get angry then say this to politicians you appointed… you already have associates who ‘know everything’.
Meanwhile, the scenarios of presidential elections with the simultaneous descent of Erdogan, Kilicdaroglu and Imamoglu are heating up.
