The claims of the Mitsotakis government regarding the execution of the 717 agreement have collapsed, according to a statement by the MPs of SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance, who participated in today’s (Monday) meeting of the Institutions and Transparency Committee, George Katrougalos, Nikos Pappas, Christos Giannoulis, Nikos Voutsis, Yannis Ragousis:

“Both from the positions of the MPs of SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance, who participated in the Committee, and mainly from the detailed list of facts and figures that Christos Spirtzis proceeded with during his speech.

Lies and hypocrisy were also left over for the alleged “remote control” of Larissa. The officials G. Gerapetritis and K. Karamanlis began to chew their words when we called them to clarify that they are talking about the station’s local control system and not about some “remote control”.

And for the contract for the provision of transport work, from which the obligations of Hellenic Train for investments of hundreds of millions of euros and of the public for the completion of the security systems “disappeared”, not the slightest was answered.

It also became clear that Mr. Karamanlis does not assume any specific responsibility. He does not consider that he was guilty of anything and with this position, obviously, he will come to the elections, asking the people to applaud his “project”.

The attitude of the Mitsotakis government does not help the truth.

The project of Mr. Mitsotakis and the deputies of the ND. not to discuss all aspects of the disaster, but only the Samara government contract with the huge deficiencies, failed miserably.

Misrepresentation does not cover liability. Misrepresentation insults the memory of those so unjustly departed.”
