The Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis will seek throughout the pre-election period the comparison with his main political opponent, Alexis Tsipras

Two key pieces are now missing from the blue pre-election puzzle that will complete the image of the ruling faction and the “plan” with which it will claim the lead in the upcoming national elections. The first is the program for the period 2023-2027, the program for the next four years with which he claims to continue at the helm of the country and the second “piece” is the announcement of the regional ballot. Two pieces that will be “placed” on the ND’s pre-election road map with the appropriate formality and emphasis, at the appropriate time that is after the official announcement of the elections.
During the entire period between today and the setting up of the ballot box, all ND executives from their regions, as well as Kyriakos Mitsotakis himself, are expected to emphasize the dilemmas of the upcoming elections, moving on two main pillars : In the communication of the government’s work and the deeds of the four-year government of the ND in areas such as the economy, the reduction of tax burdens, social policy, the digitization of the state, foreign policy, Defence, security and immigration.
At the same time, as the prime minister himself has already emphatically declared, he will seek throughout the pre-election period to compare with his main political opponent, Alexis Tsipras, but also to compare what the current government has achieved, under the difficult and stressful conditions of the crises it managed, with its goals and the program for the next four years 2023-2027.
A program that sets, among other things, 4 main priorities or “3+1” as the Prime Minister called them in a recent interview and they concern, better wages for all with a new Salary in the Public Sector from 2024 and annual increases in the private sector based on national development. The aim is that gradually by 2030 the wages in Greece will be at the European average. The second goal is decent public health, in modern hospitals, with even more staff and means. And primary care with cutting-edge free preventive examinations for basic diseases for all citizens.
The third goal is a modern, productive and functional state, with universal digitization, continuous evaluation of personnel and rewards when they achieve their goals. And, finally, a horizontal policy for young people, from Education and employment to culture and everyday life.
With a special edge, however, the roof. In addition to the five new Student Residence complexes and the student housing allowances, the “Spiti My” program will be expanded and will be framed by the institution of Social Compensation. On public lands, that is, modern apartments will be built with private funds, some of them will compensate the builders, while most of them will be rented exclusively to young people at low rent.
The second piece of the puzzle that is still missing from the pre-election image of the ND is the announcement of the Statehood ballot. A ballot whose preparation is the decision and prerogative of the prime minister and its announcement is also expected after the official announcement of the elections and by a large percentage that will reach 40% will be made up of women.
A symbolism that, according to government sources, also reflects the next government structure that Kyriakos Mitsotakis will set up if the Greek citizens trust him once again in the governance of the country with their vote in the elections. A scheme that also intends to be strengthened with more female presence, and Kyriakos Mitsotakis himself has stated that more women should be used in the government scheme.
