To isolate an aversion to it that leads to conclusions that are not valid accuses ND Euklidis Tsakalotosdenying that he is himself in favor of one “government of losers”. With his post on Facebook, Mr. Tsakalotos claims that he spoke, among other things, about correlations and electoral mathematics and in this context he said that “a coalition government with 49% would have more legitimacy than an independent government with 38% in the second election”to conclude that “only with a clear victory for SYRIZA we will have a government of progressive cooperation the day after the elections.

The full text of Mr. Tsakalotos’ post follows:

Since yesterday, the ND propaganda apparatus has been trying to isolate an aversion in my televised discussion with Mr. Magheriadis in order to draw conclusions that are not valid.
Among other things, we talked about correlations and electoral mathematics.
I replied that a coalition government with 49% would have more legitimacy than an independent government with 38% in the second election.
But in reality this is neither mathematically nor politically possible if SYRIZA does not emerge as the first party. That’s why we all strive for this completely achievable goal.
Because Mr. Androulakis has stated that he will only cooperate with the first.
So if SYRIZA is not first, the political reality itself makes a progressive government impossible.
So only with a clear victory of SYRIZA will we have a government of progressive cooperation after the elections.
In other words, a clear victory for SYRIZA is a necessary condition for ending the Mitsotakis regime.
