After a long period of contacts, consultations, approaches and successive meetings at the Maximos Palace, a few hours are now left for the official presentation of the Statehood ballot of the ND at 10.30 in the morning at the headquarters of the party by the prime minister and president of the ND himself.

After all, the State ballot of each party is its crown, it is something like the “dream team” of the groups and it was himself Kyriakos Mitsotakis who handled his training personally. A certainty, it is considered the most intense “woman’s scent” that will be emitted by the new blue ballot. In addition, the prime minister had stated very early on that “There will be significant changes in the faces of the next government”, referring to the possibility of re-election of the ND for the next four years and clarified that “there will definitely be more women”. After all, he had said “in the ballots we already have a quota of 40% for women and I want to believe that in many ballots we will exceed this same limit, which is set by the law”.

Now the list includes 15 candidates, from 12, due to Greeks abroad and based on the relevant regulation, each party must have three candidates from the list of Greeks abroad and one of them in one of the first positions.

According to information, her State ballot SW for the upcoming national elections, which has been prepared by Kyriakos Mitsotakis, there are several women and many different social groups, while in the first six, potentially electable positions, there are three women and three men.

The head of the “blue” ballot will be a woman with a wider appeal, signaling in this way the expansion of the ND to other areas as well. In an eminent position – and indeed a high one – is expected to be the Irini Agapidakiswho was the national coordinator for unaccompanied refugee children and is currently the general secretary of Public Health.

The third woman in a potentially elected position is expected to be Maria Nefeli Hatziioannidou. It is about that woman who in 2019 inspired the “Wonderful Women” project, an Urban Non-Profit Company whose goal is to empower and encourage women to participate and create actions with a positive social impact.

Also among the names that have been “locked” is the Deputy Minister of Finance Theodoros Skylakakis, the Minister of Civil Protection Christos Stylianidis,, and the g.c. Solidarity and Combating Poverty George Stamatis.

The director of ONNED’s press office will be in a non-elected position, Porphyrenia Kanellopoulouand the former PASOK deputy press representative, Spyros Karanikolas.

The last 15th and honorary position will be occupied by the former director of the ND under Konstantinos Mitsotakis, Antonis Gardelis.

The State ballot will include one woman from the agricultural sector and two women who will represent expatriate Greeks who have a significant professional career abroad, with one of the two being the Maria Doili Diamantopoulouwho is also president of the ND in Paris.
