The big winner of Sunday’s elections, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, sent a new rallying message ahead of the second round of elections in Turkey this morning via Twitter.

In his message, Erdogan says that with the help of Allah, May 28 “will become the beginning of Turkey’s century”.

Referring to the result of the first round, Erdogan notes that “we fought hard without succumbing to the challenges, ignoring the pressures and not giving up in the face of difficulties.”

“Now is the time to seal the victory of May 14 with an even greater triumph,” continues the Turkish president, pointing out that the second round of elections in Turkey will take place a day after the 63rd anniversary of the May 27 coup by Adnan Menderes.

Erdogan does not fail to refer to the earthquake victims, who supported him in Sunday’s election, writing “Turkey expects us to fulfill our goals, the victims of the earthquake expect us to heal their wounds as soon as possible.”
