In the context of the visits made by New Democracy ahead of the June 25 elections, a group led by the former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs and candidate for Member of Parliament B1 of Athens Kostis Hatzidakis and the former 1st Vice-President of the Hellenic Parliament and candidate for 1st Member of Parliament of Athens Nikita Kaklamanis made a visit to the prefecture of Etoloakarnania.

During the tour, Mr. Hatzidakis and Mr. Kaklamanis visited, among others, Evinochori, Messolongi, Neochori, Lesini, the areas of Gouria, Thermo and Paravola as well as Kainourgio and Panaitolio.

In his statements immediately after the end of the visits, Mr Mr. Hatzidakis he emphasized: “The result of the May 21 election shows that the citizens recognized that our country has risen in recent years several steps higher in many areas. But the fight continues for a great victory of New Democracy on June 25. So that the progress made is not lost, but to continue and consolidate. For even more and better jobs, for even higher wages, for even more substantial social policy, especially in the field of health, for the modernization of the state, with conflicts with the deep state where these are required. And all this, only New Democracy and Kyriakos Mitsotakis can do. Our opponents do not have a credible program and do not present themselves as a credible solution. So, the self-reliance of our faction is the only way for our country to have clear solutions, a clear horizon in front of it. To get away from populism and demagoguery once and for all. And to move forward on a path of Europe and common sense. Above all, our country deserves it!”

From the side of Mr. Kaklamanis he started from Nafpaktos, where he met with the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Nafpaktos and Agios Vlasios, Mr. Ierotheos, while immediately after, accompanied by the politicians of the region, he visited the regions of Astako, Palairo, Vonitsa, Amfilochia, Lepenou and Stratos.

Kaklamanis

In his statements he emphasized: “Historically, when Aetoloakarnania becomes “blue”, the ND becomes the government. The enthusiasm of the reception by the ordinary people of the prefecture and their faith in the victory have made me believe, with absolute certainty, that on June 25 Aitoloakarnania will again become “blue” and on Monday morning Greece will have a self-sufficient government of the ND and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis”.

Mr. Hatzidakis and Mr. Kaklamanis, accompanied by members of the DEEP and politicians, met with party officials, visited local shops, where they talked to businessmen and workers and exchanged views with representatives of authorities and institutions in the area, while their tour ended in a common speech in the region of Agrinio.
