The goal of New Democracy to increase its percentages in relation to May 21 elections asked once again the president of New Democracy Kyriakos Mitsotakisaccording to his speech at Patmos. Mr. Mitsotakis invited the voters to Dodecanese gave the ND a percentage of more than 50%.

Earlier he visited them Arkiusemphasizing that “even if there is a child, there will be a school”.

In more detail, the speech of Kyriakos Mitsotakis at Patmos:

Mr. Mayor, Mr. District Governor, friends, first of all, thank you for this very warm welcome.

I apologize for the slight delay, I made you wait in the sun, but we started on a very beautiful morning tour from Leros, then we went to Lipsi, Arkios. I am here today with you in Patmos, first and foremost because I want to say a big thank you for supporting New Democracy in the May 21 polls. We achieved here, in the Dodecanese, unprecedented percentages for our faction.

And I’m asking you to make a bet together, because when one sets the bar high, one must go even higher. Let’s go, now, to write our percentage “5” in front, to exceed 50% in the Dodecanese.

We achieved something unique, all of Greece was blueall of it Greece will remain blue and the citizens will once again trust the New Democracy to keep the fate of the country in its hands for the next four years.

You know my love for the Dodecanese and especially my love for the smaller islands. Indeed, at this point, I want to say a special thank you to an amazing District Governor, Giorgos Chatzimarkos, with whom we have excellent cooperation, just as we have excellent cooperation with your Mayor and together we can and do solve many small and big problems.

With Giorgos Chatzimarkos, the truth is that we have a direct communication. He’s comfortable texting me often with little problems that are bugging you, but if there’s one thing I think we’ve proven over the past four years, it’s that there’s no problem “small enough” that we don’t want to deal with, because this what may be small to us is big to you.

And I believe that the results of our policy are what were finally rewarded at the ballot box on May 21. I think you are also experiencing it here in Patmos, with a tourist movement that goes from good to better, with new investments that are made, with more jobs, with better salaries.

You know, I always have one great concept for young kids which work seasonally in our islands and I always say that for these children the most investments should be made and wages to rise as well, after all. Because one of our main commitments for the second four-year period is better wages for all and we can achieve this while the country remains on a growth trajectory.

Of course, all our islands have their own unique peculiarities, problems that have mainly to do with health. We have taken steps but we still have a lot more to do, we know it first and much better than you do that a lot of work needs to be done in terms of health and accessibility.

The issues of seaplanes, which we have been fighting for a long time here in Patmos, but we will solve this issue as well, because I think it will be able to bring you additional quality tourism and it will be a direct air connection of Patmos with the major urban centers .

So we still have a lot of work ahead of us, but in order to be able to roll up our sleeves and start working on June 26, on June 25 the ballot boxes must be filled again with many blue ballots: 2.4 million of our fellow citizens, our they trusted. We can increase this number even more.

We will go to the polls in June with the air of a winner, but not with the arrogance that often accompanies a winner who achieves a big score. Because indeed I am here on the island of Apocalypse and the result was an apocalypse. It was certainly a revelation for those who saw Greece as “black” and saw everything going from bad to worse, because this was the image presented by the opposition for the state of our country. And we said, “look, let’s see the glass as half full and not half empty”. We have made many important steps in this four-year period. Especially those of you who are close to Turkey know how much safer you feel, today, with the government of the New Democracy.

You know that we are the ones who tackled the refugee problem at its root. You know we are the ones who strengthened the Armed Forces. You don’t see them, but know that the Rafales are flying over you. The F-35s will enter the Air Force in 2028, as we have received the last necessary approval from the US Congress.

And of course, only a strong Greece with strong Armed Forceswith strong alliances and a strong economy can indeed negotiate with Turkey the one big difference, which is none other than the delimitation of the maritime zones, EEZ and continental shelf, in the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean.

You know better than I do. we have nothing to divide with the Turkish people. We were the first to rush to support them in the devastating earthquake, the men and women of EMAK were the first to be there, with the Greek flag, rescuing those trapped in the debris. And we want, we seek to have this good relationship but always, be careful, without making any discount on our sovereignty and our sovereign rights.

So, this bet of a safe and prosperous Greece must be won. To win it we need your support in the June 25 election. You know, I’m sure I’ll have it and I’m sure I’ll have it here in Patmos and all over the Dodecanese and all over Greece. Because the citizens, you know, have already drawn their conclusions. And I believe that Greek society voted very maturely in this ballot box on May 21. She turned her back on lies, division, blackness, toxicity and voted yes to progress, development, decency, political discourse with arguments.

We don’t want to fight, nor get into confrontations that ultimately don’t interest the citizens. Problems, you know, have no color. If you have a shortage here in your health center and you lack a doctor, we have to come and solve the problem and this is neither a blue problem, nor a red problem, nor a green problem.

So we we succeeded and won the trust of the citizensprecisely because we worked hard, with a program, and made Greece a better country.

We’re not where we want to be yet. I want to emphasize this, we still have a lot of work ahead of us. You know very well that for four years we were called upon to face several major crises at the same time. Think how much more we can do for our country if we have four years of calmer waters ahead of us. But, in any case, I don’t want to bore you anymore, because here we are in the sun and you’ve already waited a long time.

You see we “sweat the jersey”. But since we are talking about jerseys, the jersey of New Democracy is very heavy, to speak in football terms. We proved, friends, that ultimately only we are the great progressive faction, which can ensure both development and social cohesion.

A while ago I was in Lipsi and I had a conversation with a sponger, who after 30 years at sea told me something: “always take care of the weakest, those who are most in need”. And in this he is absolutely right, friends.

Because we, if we have achieved something with our policy, is to distribute the wealth we create fairly. With the first concern, however, to support the weakest. Because we are a popular faction, we are the faction that advocates social cohesion, we are the faction that wants less inequality in society, but at the same time we are the faction that knows that if you don’t create wealth, then you can’t have a discussion about how to create it. distributions. You have to create it first and then figure out how to share it.

So, friends, I want to say a big thank you again. I want to ask you specifically here, we also have new voters with us, guys who went and voted for the first time. So I asked the guys – yes, this is interesting – “what do you guys want?”. They tell me: “a gym”. Because I’m here, not just to talk, I’m here to listen to your requests. Well, your requests will be considered, Mr. District Governor, and we will respond. Do you know why; Because we want the new kids.

I was in Arkios before. In Arkiou, as you know, there is a student, a teacher – pay attention, she came from Florina, a new girl came from Florina – who even asked me to stay in Arkiou next year so that we can have a school with the Greek flag, with a student. And may there be two and three and here the children become more.

So that you can enjoy the beauties of this place, without feeling that you do not have access to the same sports facilities, your request is recorded and we will do something, my Mayor, for the sports facilities of the island.

So, I want to say a big thank you again. I mean, see you later. I want to visit Patmos again and I hope and wish, with God’s help, to come again in the summer as Prime Minister of the country.

Be well, thank you very much. Thank you very much. Thank you very much, be well, have a good race and first we vote and then we go to the beach.

Be well, thank you very much, hello.

Visit to the Monastery of Agios Ioannis

During his stay in Patmos, the President of New Democracy visited the Holy Monastery of Evangelismos and the Monastery of Saint John the Theologian.

And if there is a student, there will be a school

Earlier, Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited the Arkia school, where a student is studying. Mr. Mitsotakis pledged before the teacher, who arrived on the uninhabited island in September, that as long as there is even one student, the educational unit will not be closed. “If there is a student, there will be a school”, emphasized the President of New Democracy.

The teacher informed Kyriakos Mitsotakis that on March 25 the 1st Primary School of Voulas visited Arkios, so that the only student of the local school would not march alone, noting that this is an important initiative. “Every year we will make sure that a school comes here, to keep you company so that you are not alone,” replied the ND President.
