The president of PASOK-Movement for Change toured Heraklion, Crete this morning. Nikos Androulakis.

“Our country and the Greek people need a strong, reliable progressive force. This is what we aspire to we are with the popular verdict on June 25″ he emphasized.

“The faction, the Movement that will embrace the anxieties of the Greek people for a strong social state, that will reduce inequalities. For a competitive production base, which will create many good jobs for Greek children. And of course the faction that will respect and serve the institutions, democracy, human rights” he noted.

“In the last few hours we have become spectators in a divisive war between New Democracy and SYRIZA on the issue of Thrace. So, from here in Heraklion, from the Crete of the struggles of democracy, I want to send them a message: Let them end the dangerous adventures in our national issues. The games of Mr. Mitsotakis and Mr. Tsipras are dangerous,” said the president of PASOK.

As he declared, “we have a duty to serve a plan that will guard our national interests and not instrumentalize them for temporary party benefits.”

“All the Greek MPs must respect the Treaty of Lausanne, whether they are Christian or Muslim. We must not allow any foreign intervention in matters concerning our country by third powers” clarified Nikos Androulakis.

But, he clarified, we must also show reliability and respect. Without the words we heard from the lips of Mrs. Bakoyannis in Rodopi, it would be as if we were in the 1950s and 1960s. We do not tolerate the rhetoric of the old partisanship of the right, we denounce it and it does not serve our national interests.

“PASOK with Andreas Papandreou broke down the bars in 1995. We were the party that, with Costas Simitis and George Papandreou, made the law of 5 per thousand and Greek Muslims entered Greek universities and within twenty years the number of scientists has increased fivefold in Komotini. This faction has offered the potential for equal opportunities to every Greek citizen regardless of religion. This is our value difference and this is how we will continue in the future” concluded the president of PASOK.
