In its actions since the first moment of the shipwreck in Pylos, the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum refers in its announcement, pointing out that it is in constant contact with the Coast Guard – Hellenic Coast Guard for the tragic incident that happened in international waters in the sea area 47 n. m. southwest of Pylos.

As stated in the ministry’s announcement, its echelons are in Kalamata in order to assist the municipal authorities where deemed necessary, in assisting the rescued, in support and interpretation.

At the same time, the services of the ministry are fully prepared, so that, as soon as the procedures are completed, they will welcome the rescued people to the Reception and Identification Center in Malakasa, where they will be transferred accompanied by echelons of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum.
