Tomorrow, the meeting of the Conference of the Presidents of the Parliament is scheduled for the hearing of the 18 Councilor candidates to fill the three vacant positions of the Vice-Presidents of the CoE
The Conference of the Presidents of the Parliament completed the hearings of the 21 candidates for supreme judges in two consecutive meetings for the selection of the 5 new Vice-Presidents of the Supreme Court.
The eleven candidates who in turn received the majority after the secret ballot following the hearing of the 21 hijackers candidates are the: Maria Lepenioti, Eleni Katsouli, Aikaterini Krystallidou, Dimitra Zoi, Asimina Yfanti, Athanasios Theofanis, Kyriakos Babalidis, Stefanos-Spyridon Pantazopoulos, Maroulio Daviou-Apergi, Ioannis Dourouklakis and Christos Katsianis.
The list of eleven candidates will be submitted to the Government where it will choose the 5 new Vice Presidents of the Supreme Court.
Let’s remind that the 5 Vice-President vacancies resulted from the three retirementsof a resignation of Vice President and a new position of Vice President resulting from Law 5028/2023.
