With the government already counting the first two months of its new term, the prime minister and the entire government staff are working with the TIF as a milestone, in which Kyriakos Mitsotakis will attend and deliver his customary speech on Saturday, September 9.

In this context and as usual, the prime minister is meeting today with productive and scientific bodies of northern Greece, but also with those responsible for major projects being implemented in Thessaloniki and more broadly in Macedonia.

At the same time as the financial problems and the continued accuracy that plague Greek society, the economic staff of the government already has it ready plan of measures expected to be announced by the prime minister from the stage of the International Exhibition, putting in focus once again the improvement of everyday life which remains a priority for the new government term.

A tangible example is yesterday’s announcement by the Ministry of Environment and Energy, with which the support measures for electricity bills continue for the month of September, with subsidies for household tariffs and for all services for main and non-main residences, without income criteria and regardless of provider. and furthermore for farmers, regardless of supply power and voltage level, the support increases compared to the previous month and amounts to 15 Euro/MWh, for the entire monthly consumption.

Although the government representative outlined the general framework of the Prime Minister’s speech stating that “it is a given that a very large part of the Prime Minister’s speech, as usual, given the circumstances of the many imported crises, is dedicated to the economy and mainly to the direct or indirect increase of of citizens’ income”, government sources said that the speech of Kyriakos Mitsotakis is expected to include only “measured” economic announcements, given that the government, upon taking office, hastened to the Parliament to legislate most of the economic measures for which he had pledged during the pre-election period.

In addition, the same sources estimated that the measures that will enter the TIF basket it will also be a function of the restraint possessed by the financial staff in view of the investment level, as the intention of both Megaros Maximos and the financial staff is not to disturb the international positive climate that is reflected for the Greek economy.

In this light, and with the relief of the citizens remaining a permanent priority of the government, the biggest burden of even the “marginal” economic announcements, according to information, is expected to concern the accuracy of basic goods and fuel, which affects Greek households within the country’s fiscal limits.

In this context, the possibility is open to announce an extension of the Market Pass for another two months, i.e. until the end of the year, an increase in the heating allowance and a parallel expansion of the beneficiaries, a new issuance of a precision check, a new allowance for pensioners with a personal difference, as and maintenance of reduced VAT rates in special categories of products and services.
