What the candidate for the mayor of Athens said about his plan in the capital and the Kasselakis candidacy
His intention to clash with “illegal circles” that plague the neighborhoods such as around Omonia, Agios Panteleimonas and Attica, said the SYRIZA candidate for the mayoral seat of Athens, Kostas Zachariadis, speaking in the morning on the show “Today” on SKAI.
“Where there are pockets of crime that want Athens to be a ghetto and an organized state has not intervened, I will fight” said the candidate for mayor of Athens and added ” I will not let the far right faction monopolize the problemwe will be in the degraded neighborhoods and we will talk about the collective and individual security”.
Subsequently, Mr. Zachariadis repeated his request for a debate between his opponents and also for a four-four with the current mayor and re-candidate K. Bakoyannis.
With reference to his priorities in the capital, Mr. Zachariadis proposed the problem with double-parked cars, the upgrading of the greenery while he emphasized that any projects that are in progress and have been voted for by a broad majority, if elected, will continue.
Kasselakis candidacy
Asked about his candidacy Stefanou Kasselakis in the presidency of SYRIZA, Kostas Zachariadis refrained from taking a position, emphasizing indicatively that he is concerned with “winning Bakoyannis in the municipality of Athens”.
He also added that “my position requires us to have the widest unity and composition in the internal party. I talk to everyone and they support me.”
