With a complete ballot 281 candidates for municipal and community councilors the mayor of Thessaloniki, Konstantinos Zervas, is preparing to run for a new term in the local elections in October. In an official presentation of his combination, which took place this Wednesday evening in the courtyard of the Thessaloniki Music Hall, he asked the citizens to trust him again at the helm of the municipality.

“We are reliable. So it is up to you to send these messages everywhere. In every home, in every neighborhood, in every workplace. It is up to you to cancel in practice the effort of those who have contractually invested in whining and misery,” Mr. Zervas emphasized in his speech.

The 108 candidates for municipal councilors were presented at the event, while another 173 candidates in the five communities of the municipality are in the running for the election with the combination of the mayor “Yes in Thessaloniki”. As the mayor said on his ballot “the Thessaloniki of the 21st century is captured. The real strengths of this city are captured, which are none other than its people.”

Speak up for a combination renewed by 85% since 2019, a “unitary” ballot, with the maximum possible numbers of participations for both the city council and the municipal communities. A self-governing ballot, which expresses the new and the creative, which shows what is our own perception, our own alliance and our own proposal for the Thessaloniki of the future”.

Earlier, Mr. Zervas made a mini-account of what his administration has achieved during the current term and said meaningfully to the candidates of his combination: “Don’t have any doubts. There is no municipal community, there is no neighborhood where we have not gone, done a project or launched a project. Neighborhoods that have seen municipal construction sites for more than 15 years. Therefore, if someone says to you “what is your work” feel free to take them for a ride in any neighborhood they choose.”
