The party’s presidential candidate answered questions about “the next day” and the scenario of not being elected
The candidate for the party’s presidency, Stefanos Kasselakis, expressed his belief in the “bottom-up” need to re-establish and restructure SYRIZA, in a meeting he held last night with journalists.
“Let’s build the party from scratch. Let the members decide on all critical issues,” said Mr. Kasselakis, according to sources from his environment, while when asked about the current internal party situation, he said that “SYRIZA has a very valuable potential, but we must find a way to evaluate and, accordingly, utilize its executive potential”.
“I came to stay. I am SYRIZA and I will remain so regardless of the result,” he emphasized in response to questions about the “next day” and his non-election scenario.
He noted, among other things, that the country needs a strong SYRIZA, which will give vision and opportunities to everyone. He referred to the problem of young people fleeing the country saying “this has to stop now”, while when asked to comment on the fact that it has sparked the world’s interest he commented: “If the truth sells, let’s sell it all the time”. .
