In yesterday’s election contest in municipalities and regions, the government representative, Pavlos Marinakis, mentioned that “the citizens with their vote in the regions reaffirmed their trust in the prime minister and the government”.
After congratulating regional governors and mayors who were elected on the first Sunday, Mr. Marinakis emphasized that despite the difficulties, citizens “recognize that the government is trying to provide solutions to major problems.”
“The government will continue in the direction of implementing the major changes and reforms that the country needs, faithful to its commitments and with the Local Self-Government as an ally, honoring the trust of the citizens” added Mr. Marinakis.

This morning, the Prime Minister went to Varna, Bulgaria, where he is participating in the Tripartite Summit of Greece – Bulgaria – Romania.
This is the fifth Tripartite Summit of the cooperation scheme which has been a Greek initiative since 1994.
The Tripartite Summit, with the main themes of energy cooperation and connectivity, highlights the key role of Greece as a pillar of stability and security, but also as a provider of energy security in the Balkans.
The Prime Minister is expected to highlight the strategic role of Alexandroupolis, as a military, commercial and energy hub, while the Greek side examines the role that the ports of Alexandroupolis and Thessaloniki could play in the export of Ukrainian grain and products in the future.
The discussions that will be held by the leaders of the three countries will be dominated by the North-South Energy Corridor, connectivity in the energy, transport, telecommunications sectors, as well as issues of the European agenda, such as the Enlargement of the European Union, a discussion that has already started informally European Council in Granada and which is expected to culminate in the December European Council.

The Government, as Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced on Saturday morning, condemns in the clearest way the unprecedented and shocking terrorist attacks against Israel which caused the loss of a very large number of civilians. Also, from Monday, the first aid platform will be opened for farmers who have suffered damage to their fixed equipment and capital.
Thus, from next week, the farmers in question will be able to apply on the arogi.gov.gr platform to receive first aid, 2,000 euros, against the state aid they will receive for the losses to their equipment, machinery, goods, fixed assets, land capital and corresponding means of production.
Compensation payments are made quickly as a result of the intensive work of checks by the General Secretariat for Natural Disaster Recovery and State Aid, as well as by AADE officials, for the automatic identification process.
In addition, on Friday, October 6, the submission of applications, through gov.gr, for temporary housing with rent subsidy or cohabitation for citizens whose homes have been affected by the recent natural disasters that hit our country began.
