“Our goal is the 13 regions and 3 municipalities and we will claim that”Minister of State Makis Voridis emphasized, speaking about the ND’s strategy in the second round of the self-governing elections on the show “Today” on SKAI.

“Our efforts are focused on the six regions and the two large municipalities”, he said indicatively while being asked about the battle in the municipality of Athens, between K. Bakoyiannis and X. Doukas, he emphasized that in the capital “K. Bakoyiannis is facing me seriousness in the electoral contest despite the fact that there is a big difference. He will claim the voters who did not come to the polls but also those who chose something different.”

The second round “is a new effort” he noted and referring to Thessalywhere there are two candidates, one from and supported by the ND and the other from the ND, stated that “the ND will insist on the selection of persons”.

As he explained, “the regions have to manage significant amounts of NSRF that will change the lives of the residents. The Recovery Fund has suffocating margins and if someone cannot immediately absorb them, funds will be lost. That’s why we recommend the compared regional governors” he concluded, to add that “the persons have experience, and now they must run programs to continue the maturation of the projects”.

Asked about it same-sex marriage, Mr. Voridis said that the issue is handled by the prime minister and he will take a position “when the issue is opened”, while regarding the issue of adoption of children by same-sex couples, the Minister of State explained that “at the moment it is not allowed”.
