The Director of Religious Affairs of Turkey a few days ago climbed the pulpit of Hagia Sophia and made a speech about Gaza holding a sword, which the Turkish media commented that it is a “symbol of intimidating the enemy, trusting friends”, he reported from the correspondent of SKAI, Manolis Kostidis, in Istanbul.

Ali Erbas, president of Turkey’s religious affairs directorate, said: “One of the worst violent persecutions of humanity today is happening in Palestine, in Gaza. Babies, children, women are slaughtered without any discrimination. There are bomb attacks on houses, hospitals, mosques.”

Reacting to the statements of Erdogan’s government partner, Bakhceli, who stated that “in the morning we will go to GazaTurkish media also reported that “Bakhceli wants war”.

“How are we going to get to Gaza? By planes or ships?’ the Turkish media then ask.

The presenter of the main Sozcu TV bulletin, Fatih Orange, said: “We are listening to the words. Devlet Bakhceli wants war. Mr. Bakhtseli, I am not speaking ironically. How do you go to Gaza? Tell me. Because he declares himself ‘I will go first’! He tells us ‘if I don’t go to Gaza then I am dishonest’. Nice. How do you get to Gaza? By road, by air? Maybe by sea?

We are not the owners of that area. 150 or 200 years ago they were our places, but today they are not and this is not our war. And I ask you! How are you going to get there? Which vehicle will you go with? Who or who will come with you? Those who want to go, let them go. Let’s open the way for them, let’s see what will happen to them. But they are aimed at moms, dads! This war is not our war.”

Annoyance of Ankara with Blinken

“He didn’t come to Turkey, he practices wrong politics, he has no perspective”

Omer Çelik, a spokesman for the Justice and Development Party, said: “During his tour of the region, the US Secretary of State did not visit Turkey, a center of gravity like Turkey, shows how deficient his policy is and has no perspective. This tour of his was full of weaknesses and full of mistakes.”

Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Putin

Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Israel of massacres at the level of genocide in a communication he had with Vladimir Putin on Tuesday about the escalating conflict between Israel and Palestine and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

“Especially since October 7, there have been massacres in Gaza targeting urban settlements, places of worship, hospitals and schools, reaching the level of genocide. Unfortunately, the international community cannot offer a good test against the illegal and borderless attacks of the Israeli government against civilians,” said Manolis Kostidis.

Erdogan also opened fire on the West. “We see that the UN Security Council, instead of stopping the bloodshed, establishing a ceasefire as soon as possible and taking measures to prevent civilian casualties, is further deepening the crisis with its unilateral stance. Of course, it is not possible for a structure that monitors the total punishment of the people of Gaza to provide hope to humanity and ensure global peace and stability,” he clarified.

“The silence of Western countries has escalated the humanitarian crisis in Gaza to an unavoidable level,” the Turkish president said.

Erdogan, according to Turkey’s Communications Directorate, also told Putin that the brutality directed at the Palestinian territories is deepening and civilian casualties are increasing by the minute.

He stated that Turkey will continue to make every effort to ensure peace in the region.
