“A few days ago, Mr. Mitsotakis told the European Council that a humanitarian truce should be imposed “if necessary”
With his choice for Greece to abstain from the UN vote on Gaza, “K. Mitsotakis brutally insults the history of the country, comes, once again, to a break with the multidimensional foreign policy of Greece…”, says Rania Svigo in a post on Facebook.
In particular, the Secretary of the Central Committee of SYRIZA PS states:
“A few days ago, Mr. Mitsotakis went to Israel and said that “there must be no great humanitarian losses.”
At the European Council he said that humanitarian truce must be imposed “if necessary”.
Yesterday, our country, by his decision, abstained from the UN General Assembly’s vote on the declaration of a humanitarian ceasefire. Apparently for him, the civilian casualties in Gaza are “not great”, so the humanitarian pause is “not necessary”.
With his specific choice, K. Mitsotakis brutally insults the history of the country, comes, once again, to break with the multidimensional foreign policy of Greece and is in opposition to the feelings of humanity of the Greek people”.
