“Farmers are taking a very big risk and the State must be by your side so that you can survive Climate Change,” Mr. Kasselakis emphasized, addressing the citizens of Alexandria, and continued: “You may not know me well, but you know something I know you. I know what you’re after, I know that justice you want in your everyday life, I know the dignity you deserve in your everyday life and you will literally have direct contact with the leadership of the party and together we will provide solutions to the Greek people. We are here for you.”

He then headed to a cafe outside which citizens had gathered who welcomed him with applause and spoke to them about the problems of the rural world. He reminded them, in fact, that before the parliamentary elections he had visited Veria and Naoussa, together with Alexis Tsipras, and then they had become the recipients of the farmers’ protests against the government regarding the issue of compensations.
