The results of the major Pulse poll shown on Sky’s main newscast – The SYRIZA-PASOK battle for second place – Public acceptance of the government’s reforms to self-employment tax and digital property transfer – The survey in detail
The future of SYRIZA looks ominous according to the findings of the major Pulse poll presented in the main news bulletin of Sky with Sia Kosioni: Already, SYRIZA moves into third place, behind PASOK-KINAL, while at the same time the citizens in a percentage of up to 62% believe that things for the party after the recent departures of executives (and without counting those that happened today) they will go a little or a lot worse. At the same time, among all the respondents, 6 out of 10 judge negatively the recent internal party initiatives of Stefanou Kasselakis. However, 34% of those who say they voted for SYRIZA last June view the party president’s initiatives negatively, while 80% of those who say they will vote for SYRIZA again view them positively.
The poll, however, also highlights the battle for second place in the political scene, with PASOK moving into second place, taking half a percentage point above SYRIZA and a percentage of 13% (with all responses, without distribution of undecideds).
In the same poll, the reactions of public opinion to the government’s reform moves and in particular to the bill on the new way of taxing freelancers and the digitization of the real estate transfer process were measured, with almost 6 out of 10 citizens judging that the proposals for freelancers are in the right direction, but some corrections are necessary.
In terms of voting intention, the political omnipotence of the ND is also confirmed in this Pulse poll, with the ruling party receiving a percentage of 33%, compared to 13% for PASOK, which is in second place, and 12.5% for SYRIZA. The KKE receives 9%. In the October Pulse poll, ND received 33.5%, SYRIZA was at 15% and was second, while PASOK received 12% and KKE 8.5%
In the scenario of the distribution of undecideds, the ND receives 38%, PASOK 15%, SYRIZA 14.5%, while the percentage of the KKE is also in double digits, at 10.5%.
However, the battle between SYRIZA and PASOK for second place from the 2019 elections, the two previous election contests in May and June, to the survey presented in the Sky newscast, since in 2019 the difference between the two parties was 23.4%, it decreased to 8.6 points in May to reach 6% in June and now, according to opinion polls, PASOK is ahead of SYRIZA by half a point.
The reforms
Regarding the government’s proposal for the new way of taxing freelancers, 19% respond that they are in the right direction and as they should be, 40% estimate that they are in the right direction, but some corrections are needed. 30% respond that the plan is in the wrong direction, while 11% respond that they have no opinion on the issue.
In the same question, however, almost 1 in 2 freelancers answers that the regulations are in the wrong direction, only 10% believe that they are as they should be, while 36% estimate that the proposed regulations are in the right direction, but need corrections.
Accordingly, two out of three citizens (66%) believe that the proposal to digitize the real estate transfer process is in the right direction and as it should be (24%) or in the right direction, but some corrections are needed (42%).
