“I want to clearly state my pride for the members of our Homeland’s Armed Forces who guard our uninhabited islands, our homeland’s shores.” This was emphasized by the Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias in his statement after the visit to the torpedo boat “Daniolos” in Symi.

“Today, Christmas day, the Greek society must wish their executives that they are always well” Mr. Dendias added in his post on X.

In another post on X, Mr. Dendias mentions, among other things, that he sat down at the festive Christmas meal, at the camp of “Taxiarchou Markos Kladakis”, of DAN Symi.

“I had the opportunity to wish a happy birthday to the officers and soldiers, but also to see how important it is to have people who defend the flag and the homeland, at this point of our border,” the Minister of National Defense underlined.

Both the officers of the Armed Forces and the inhabitants of our critical islands, do not just “guard Thermopylae”, but constitute the essence of the geographical boundaries of Hellenism.
