“The whole of Greece admired the video of the dances and feasts at the Athens General Hospital “Korgialenio-Benakio” in the middle of the emergency and with the stretchers passing with patients, through the improvised dance floor and in front of dancers and instruments,” he says in a statement of the coordinator EPEKE of SYRIZA-PS, Pavlos Polakis who requests the clarification of the case and the removal of the administrator.

In his statement he states: “Once again the elites of Mr. Mitsotakis proved that they have no empathy, since the dance was dragged by the administrator of the Hospital, Mr. Tavianatou” and explains: “Ms. Tavianatou is not accidental, on the contrary, she is a purely partisan choice. He may not have the typical qualifications for a Director, since he is a public servant of the Ministry of Health with a degree in sociology from the Open University, but he has all those skills that characterize the excellent ones of K. Mitsotakis”.

He then “reminds that this is Mrs. Tavianatou’s first term as administrator, as in 2014 she was appointed by Adonis Georgiadis, deputy administrator at Alexandra Hospital. In February 2022, the newspaper Dimokratia in an article reported that at the Red Cross Hospital, since a Deputy Governor had not been appointed and the Board of Directors had not been formed, Mrs. Tavianatou did whatever she wanted, having the support of the workers’ union through the cooperation of the trade unionists of PASOK who are close to Andreas Loverdos and a part of the trade unionists of the N.D. The result was to set up an endless party of direct assignments and client movements at the hospital, which SYRIZA-PS had also denounced. A characteristic moment of Mrs. Tavianatos, there was a competition for cleanliness, in the announcement of which it was included as a prerequisite, that the company that will undertake the project must have certification for the observance of the road safety management system! For her invaluable services to the Mitsotakis regime, Mrs. Tavianatou is even rewarded with a six-month extension of her term (decision 13/12/2024)”.

Subsequently, Mr. Pollakis addresses the competent minister: “For the complete clarification of the incident, the EDE that was ordered is imperative, the Director, however, should have gone home since yesterday. Let Mr. Chrysochoidis explain to us why Ms. Tavianatou is still in her position? What does EDE expect to show? If the steps went well? Is the minister afraid of something and does not proceed with the obvious or does not decide on his own? It is certain that the Mitsotakis system, as it did with other elected officials (e.g. Mr. Nikolaou), will defend Mrs. Tavianatou as much as it can. It is also certain that this lady can no longer stand in her place.” Finally, he adds: “Would the Health Department of PASOK like to comment on the performances of the other dancers”?

In a kind of postscript he adds: “Would the PASOK Health Department like to comment on the performance of the other dancers”?
