“Society is evolving, moving forward. In an inclusive society there can be no exceptions to rights. Especially with regard to children” was the message of the President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou on Monday regarding the bill for same-sex couples.
In the meeting that Mrs. Sakellaropoulou had earlier with journalists at the Presidency of the Republic, she was asked to take a position, among other things, on the bill in question, expressing the above opinion, and adding that from the beginning of her term she spoke about the need for an inclusive society, without exceptions to rights.

Earlier, the President, together with the journalists, visited the Gift Showroom that has been created on her initiative at the Presidential Palace and which displays gifts she has received since the beginning of her term.
These are objects of national, historical or artistic value that were donated to it by leaders and ambassadors of foreign countries, military formations of the Armed Forces, religious, municipal and rectory authorities, cultural associations, unions and ordinary citizens, which became the property of the State and are subject to the administration and management of the Presidency of the Republic.
