Greece will continue to stand by the side of the Ukrainian people, the Minister of Defense emphasized
O Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, participated today in a Video Conference (VTC) of the Defense Contact Group in Ukraine, which was organized at the initiative of the US Secretary of Defense, Mr. Lloyd Austin. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Defense Ministers and other high-ranking officials participated in the teleconference.
He also participated in the teleconference the Chief of GEETHA, General Dimitrios Houpis.
During his intervention, the Greek Minister emphasized Greece’s firm position of principle in support of Ukraine and its right to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against the Russian invasion, which is a flagrant violation of International Law and undermines peace , security and stability in Europe.
Mr. Dendias also referred to our country’s defense assistance to Ukraine and pointed out that Greece will continue to stand by the side of the Ukrainian people, defending its principles International Law and territorial integrity, in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations.
