SYRIZA launched an attack on the government representative, Pavlos Marinakis, on the occasion of his statements on a television station in which he accused the opposition of trying to obtain petty political benefits from the case of Tempi

In particular, Mr. Marinakis, when asked about the request of the relatives of the Tempe victims not to apply the law on the responsibility of ministers and the reactions of the opposition, replied that “it is another thing to stand by the relatives of the victims and help to render justice, and it is it’s another thing to be around them like a leech and try to get petty political benefits.”

SYRIZA responded to Mr. Marinaki’s statements with a statement, stating that “let us inform him that the only “blood” that was shed from this unspeakable tragedy was caused by the negligence of the minister of his government, – whom he protects – by drowning in condolences to the families of the victims.”

The SYRIZA announcement in detail:

The government representative Mr. Marinakis, today on the ANT1 television station, spoke of “political leeches”, referring to the crime of Tempi.

Let us inform him that the only “blood” that flowed from this unspeakable tragedy was caused by the negligence of the minister of his government, – whom he also protects – drowning in mourning the families of the victims. A political opportunist is not the one who fights to find justice for the citizens who have been brutally hurt by the state of Mr. Mitsotakis and who cannot find justice within their own country where all types of immunities apply.

With what Mr. Marinakis said, he showed once again that the New Democracy government lacks tact and understanding and, ultimately, empathy, no matter how much his government tries to disorientate with fabricated articles.

The government representative, in the same interview, made a huge “revelation”! In relation to the interception of the personal data of our emigrants and their delivery to Ms. Asimakopoulou (and who knows where else), he said that it was simply “three people who exchanged emails”). Really, Mr. Marinaki? The fact that Nea Democracy has made the Ministry of the Interior its “next-door” is it a simple exchange of emails between three blue-collar friends?

Did Megaros Maximos’ “investigation” reach this conclusion?

As long as the government is trying to downgrade its new scandal to a farce, as it usually does, SYRIZA PS will see to it that all its aspects are revealed.

As far as the tsunami of lawsuits against the public that dozens of expatriates have filed after the scandalous leak of their personal data is concerned, the government seems not to be worried. Neither Mr. Mitsotakis, nor Mrs. Kerameos, will be asked to pay the compensations, but the Greek people.
