“We cannot leave the lies of Mr. Kasselakis unanswered, nor do we not cover the “memory gaps” he displays” the announcement states
“Although we know that our main adversary is the problems and we fight with them every day, we cannot leave the lies of Mr. Kasselakis unanswered, nor cover the “memory gaps” he appears to have from one public statement to the next » states the ND in its statement, commenting on today’s interview – speech of the president of SYRIZA at the Forum of Delphi.
The announcement continues:
“Let’s look at two characteristic lies of his today:
Lie one: “Mr. Mitsotakis promised to reduce taxes purely for marketing reasons, but the opposite happened.”
What is the truth;
The Government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis has reduced since 2019 more than 50 taxes and contributions, which led to the indirect increase in the income of Greek citizens at the same time as the direct increases in salaries and pensions. Indicatively, we mention the reduction of the ENFIA by more than 30%, the abolition of the solidarity levy, the reduction of the VAT on the focus to 13%, the reduction of the insurance contributions by 3 units, the increase of the tax-free allowance by 1000 euros for each child, the reduction of Business Tax from 29% to 22%, the reduction of advance tax from 100% to 55%.
As the Minister of National Economy and Finance, also from Delphi, pointed out just yesterday, the 2025 budget will include a series of measures to boost incomes and reduce taxes totaling 870 million euros.
Second lie: “Our country is very low in Europe both in growth rate and in investments”
What is the truth;
Only 48 hours have passed since the statement of the EU Economic Commissioner. that Greece runs with 2% growth, while Europe with 0% and something, which, as he pointed out, makes the difference. The European Commissioner made special reference to the increase in investment and in addition to investment in strategic areas such as research, development, education, but also on how Greece is increasing exports, which is also a very important message.
Mr. Kasselakis also said that he can communicate better than anyone with foreign investors as, he said, he is the only political leader in Greece who has succeeded in the private sector.
We do not know if he is referring to his old acquaintances from Delaware or not. What we know for sure is that he has not given answers about his companies and remains the only political leader who has not yet submitted a statement about his whereabouts.
He still told us about the “cushion of 37 billion”, but he “forgot” to tell us that it was the creditors’ pledge for the enormous personal unreliability of his predecessor.
And of course, he “forgot” that it was created by a harsh tax policy that crushed the middle class.
And one last thing: Was the “pillow” that he is proud of today or not “the most memorable decision of the SYRIZA government”, as he himself stated a few months ago? ND concludes.
