“The European elections ballot box is a national ballot box and the Government highlights the stakes and dilemmas. Elections are not held in a vacuum or for fun. As Mr. Economou said, “the main stake for the European elections is the orientation of Europe, which is degraded and underestimated in the public debate”, stressing: “What kind of Europe will we have for the dominant political scene, for the farmers and the CAP, facing the rising Chinese economy, the behavior of authoritarian regimes and the mobility of Russia, what Europe will we have in geopolitics, what Europe will we have in its autonomy and self-sufficiency, such as security, food security, the production of innovation and knowledge”.

“The Government, in these elections as well, as in all electoral contests from 2019 onwards, honestly, highlighting the stakes and dilemmas, respectfully approaches the citizens and asks for the citizens’ vote. A vote of confirmation and confidence. Our central line is strengthening and upgrading the country”, concluded Mr. Economou.
