The amendment that allows private doctors to perform surgical operations in public hospitals was filed on Friday night. The amendment was submitted to the bill of the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family for the reform of the “Housing and Work for the Homeless” program, which is introduced for discussion and voting in the plenary session of the Parliament, the day after tomorrow, Great Monday.

With the provisions of the amendment the possibility is provided to private doctors of all specialties to work in the NHS, participating in the operation of outpatient clinics, in carrying out diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures, beyond regular hours, and to carry out surgeries or other invasive procedures that require a stay in the hospital, beyond day hospitalization, under specific conditions. Private doctors, during their cooperation with ESY hospitals, are obliged to cover all kinds of hospital expenses, resulting from their cooperation with it, in particular operational expenses and salary expenses and all kinds of compensations of all kinds of personnel.
