Dignity, worthiness, meritocracy, democracy, justice, pride, peace, are all in your hands. On June 9th you can give a message that there is an end to the 41%.“said the president of SYRIZA, Mr. Stefanos Kasselakis, among others, in a speech this evening in the city of Rhodes.

Specifically in his speech to his members and friends SYRIZA Mr. Kasselakis emphasized the following

A few days before the elections, in beautiful Rhodes, on the island of the Knights, this island that should have tourism 12 months a year, with such a culture with such nature, such beauties, should have an island that is staffed and it can cover the local population, and of course all the visitors, but above all you should have been able to live in a society which would not bother you with a precision-choice of the prime minister. There is no ceiling on electricity, on profit, which chooses the banks and their super profits instead of giving a breather to the common people, a reduction in VAT, which does not even fine companies for profiteering, not even a Thérèse does to these companies cannot negotiate with the state.

At the same time, unfortunately, they are asking for the change from SYRIZA. They have the “candy”, “mint trees”, “lifestyle”, instead of realizing that we have proposals, that the world is struggling, they say “it reminds me of the indignant”. Come, Mr. Prime Minister. Come here into the world, come unfiltered to talk to it, tell us if the world is living its dream in Greece, if there is justice within a time frame, if the other person can feel that they live in a modern country and there is not cover-up in Tempe, that we now learn of secret meetings between the deputy minister and the prime minister. And they don’t comment on anything.

Unfortunately we have become a society of low expectations, so that has to change. There are solutions for accuracy, there are solutions for taxation, to reduce taxation with so many small and medium-sized entrepreneurs that I discussed during the walk I took today for almost three hours. Everyone tells me the same thing. They tell me that things are bad, they are pressed, every year and worse, issues with the EFKA, issues with the advance payment of income tax, with taxation. At the same time these companies have some of the highest profits ever seen.

So we are not with record profits in huge companies while small and medium enterprises can’t make it through the month. We are on the side of the many, we want to have in our tax system a redistribution which can bring tax justice. To have a rule of law, to have open regulated markets, labor rights, a National Health System that is staffed to treat the world, not like the lady I met before who lost a 43 year old child and can’t find justice her, that no one tells her why she lost it, unless someone’s father is a member of parliament, it can come out in the news.

There are many anonymous Greek men and women who are looking for justice and dignity. 41% and this arrogance has to end at some point. We have reached our limits and they point the finger at us for everything. Aren’t you ashamed of the railway? Aren’t you ashamed to say that?

Mrs. Plakia, the sister of the Tempi victims, arrives and is ignored by the prime minister. And what are his cops doing? They are trampling her! That’s where we’ve been. An old woman comes, tells him I get a pension of 340 euros a month, I can’t stand it, I live on rent, 300 euros rent and he tells her “oh yes, I can’t make it with rent”. And he says to him “but I’m hungry” and he says to her “doesn’t the church give you anything?” In other words, the prime minister’s answer to a hungry woman is the church. As if to say that there is no state.

The prime minister of the country admits that there is no state. Well, SYRIZA as a government will change things, and we will do everything to support our weak fellow citizens. Less hunger, less homelessness, cheaper rents, let the emigrants come back, the children who have run away and come back to their country.

And do you know what the prime minister said to that woman in conclusion? He tells her thanks for coming. This woman will not eat “thank you for coming” for breakfast. We finally need the human being at the center of our politics. And the same is true in Palestine, where we can no longer turn a blind eye as Europe, in a democratically elected government, in a developed country, whose far-right government is deliberately murdering women and children in the Gaza Strip, 2 million people in a lane that is smaller than Rhodes.

And what is Europe doing? He can’t take a stand. Greece must immediately follow the example of Spain, Ireland and Norway, and immediately recognize and immediately recognize, now, the state of Palestine. If not now, when? When the west bank will not exist? Gaza? Never;

Dignity, worthiness, meritocracy, democracy, justice, pride, peace, are all in your hands. On June 9th you can give a message that there is an end to the 41%. We take the side of our weak fellow citizens, the environment, love of life, peace, and we take the side of justice in our country because what is being done right now is unfair to the new generations. It is unfair to these children to grow up in a country where they cannot dream, where if you are born with the wrong last name or in the wrong neighborhood you are doomed for life. These are political choices, we will change them, and the first step will be next Sunday.”
