The increase in participation is estimated in Piraeus as favoring the ND, because it has larger reservoirs to draw votes from, but this does not mean that abstention will necessarily work against it.

It may be that the messages reaching Herodos Atticus and Piraeus are optimistic about the ruling party and the assessment of its electoral “performance”, however the active goal remains the mobilization of voters to go to the polls and confirm the political legitimacy of the government to continue its work and the reforms that have already begun to be implemented and that the country needs.
The analyzes that have recently arrived at Megaron Maximos reflect the trend of a significant percentage of voters who have not decided whether they will finally participate in the electoral process, which prompts the campaign staff to use every means that would convince these citizens of the importance of the upcoming European elections.
The increase in participation is estimated in Piraeus as favoring the ND, because it has larger reservoirs to draw votes from, but this does not mean that abstention will necessarily work against it.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis estimates that it will mainly squeeze the parties that are to the right of the ND and draw only from a specific electoral audience and will therefore lead to a fragmentation of the extreme vote. Sources in Piraeus, however, believe that the Prime Minister’s tours in Northern Greece and the intensity of the dilemmas that have been raised are working positively and unifying for the ND, and so it seems that with the new data the leaks have stopped.
In this context, a new tactic that seems to have been followed in the last twenty-four hours concerns the citizens themselves and their appeal, when reference is made to the 41% percentage that the ND received in the national elections. “41% was given to us by the citizens. When some people criticize it, they criticize the citizens, not me,” the prime minister said in an interview, joining the voters who chose the ND for government, in the political confrontation that is increasingly escalating as June 9 approaches, and pitting them against those who take pictures as ” wrong” this choice of the citizens.
According to those familiar with the formation of the political scene, the last two weeks before an election contest are the most decisive for the formation of the result and from this, during this period, the last “weapons” available to each party in the pre-election battle are thrown.
For the ND, however, it seems that the drawing of its pre-election route is far from toxicity and denial, as chosen – according to government officials – by the opposition parties and instead chooses the positive narrative and the promotion and implementation of the government’s work and ND program until 2027.
The messages that will be broadcast until the last moment, will be repeated and “clean” and concern first of all the persons that the citizens want to represent them in Brussels and to manage the future of the country. Secondly, the strength of the party that will have an impact on the domestic political scene, emphasizing that the stronger the ND is, the louder the voice of Greece will be heard in Brussels in the next five years, which will be crucial for issues that directly concern us , such as the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), but also Europe’s defense security.
Thirdly, a low percentage of the ND can create internal destabilization and that is why the Prime Minister himself repeats emphatically in the pre-election positions that the goal is the largest possible percentage, in order to achieve the strongest legitimacy for the continuation of the big changes and to avoid adventures that they could stop the country’s course.
