An electoral process was completed in 27 of its countries The European Union with literally millions of messages. Among them the messages from inside our country and the Greeks who also sent their own signal and even with a loud voice.

Big win in the European elections, and by a huge margin, the abstention which in some constituencies reached 74.25%!

New Democracy kept the first place, with a substantial distance from the second-placed SYRIZA, but it was far from the 33% the party had seen in the 2019 European elections – and which the prime minister had set as a target. If one tries to make a comparison with the 41% recorded by the ruling party in the national elections a year ago, then one could even speak of an image of… collapse.

Not that the other parties fared any better. Mr. Kasselakis neither came out first, nor did the overthrow, as he has been proclaiming for months, while he did not manage to reach the threshold of 17%, which he had set, that is, as much as he received in the parliamentary elections of June 2023.

PASOK is the same. It remained a third party. A fact that raises questions about his next day, with the first voices already heard.

The KKE has reasons to be happy as it records an increase in relation to the European elections of 2019, but also in relation to the parliamentary elections of 2023.

Also, the Velopoulos side has reasons to celebrate for the promotion and also for the points. Like for example that a second party came out in 6 constituencies.

The president of Plefsis Eleftherias, Zoe Konstantopoulou, is also satisfied, as her party will be represented in the European Parliament for the first time.

Finally, the entry of “Voice of Reason” into the European Parliament is considered a surprise for many, as with the 3.06% she collected, Ms. Aphrodite Latinopoulou wins her entry into the European Parliament.
