“The lines were confused” in the center-left after the “low electoral flights” by SYRIZA, PASOK and New Left.

With the two “big men” of the opposition, many officials do not hide that their patience with their leaderships has run out and they are already publicly expressing disagreements about the choices made. The 14.9% for Koumoundourou and the stay in third place for Harilaou Trikoupi seem to be the starting point for developments. At the same time, the advocates of cooperation are slowly coming to the fore, while reports even referred to the collusion of the PASOK parliamentary groups with the New Left in order to “informally” take the position of the official opposition. The related scenarios were categorically denied by both parties.

The organs in SYRIZA and PASOK will meet, but there doesn’t seem to be much patience from many executives. A “lifeline” for Stefanos Kasselakis and Nikos Androulakis is the great fall of New Democracy by 13 points. However, the fact that they did not manage to reap anything from the damage of the ruling faction with the official opposition losing almost three units aggravates the situation.

Christos Spirtzis on PARAPOLITIKA FM stated that “not only should we not be happy, but we should cry over the result of the European elections”. Stefanos Kasselakis from Spetses gave his first answer to Dionysis Teboneras and Antonis Kotsakas who proposed SYRIZA, PASOK and New Left to proceed with the creation of a coordinating body.

“As long as I am President of SYRIZA, there will be no partnership with the delegitimized “New Left” formation,” he said in a post. Linking his proposal to the great abstention, Dionysis Teboneras reported in Athens 9.84 that “a large part of society does not see political expression in the existing formations”. The response of the parliamentary group of Alexis Haritsis dynamized the spirits even more. It was emphasized that “Mr. Kasselakis reveals his inner world when he talks about “formations”. He has turned a political party into a formation by copying its idol: Donald Trump.”

The “war” for the 11 seats between the former partners is heating up day by day with SYRIZA claiming that the non-entry of the New Left into the Parliament delegitimizes it. From Patision, they remind how many MPs have been moved during the period of SYRIZA’s government, but also how the Prespa Agreement was passed by the Plenary. The parliamentary group will meet tomorrow under Stefanos Kasselakis at 17.30, while the Central Committee is expected to convene on June 30.

They seem to have more problems in Harilaou Trikoupi. According to Nikos Androulakis, the “asymmetry of the basin and the periphery” that must be dealt with was the reason for the first open conflict with Pavlos Geroulanos “lashing out”. As a Member of Parliament for Athens 1, he emphasized with his post that “because since Sunday night, there is talk that PASOK has paid for the “great asymmetry between the region and Athens”, which in some parapolitical groups even reaches the targeting of MPs, I took it personally . And I took it personally, because we melted shoes in the European elections, everyone in Athens First, the Prefecture, the local organizations, everyone”. Mr. Geroulanos, after mentioning that in the basin the party increased its percentages more than the national average, ended by saying: “the rest for what he did, where it belongs”. Have the instruments started in PASOK? It is already recalled that Nadia Giannakopoulou has left open the issue of leadership.
